Open Campus (OC) is a virtual world built with the Virbela platform. Some people might call it desktop virtual reality. OC is free and open to the public, and is accessible via an application that’s downloaded and installed on a computer or laptop. OC is also home to an active community of professionals and learners.

No, there are actually many Virbela-powered worlds out there! Many of them are private and used by corporations, universities and other organizations. Each world has it’s own unique app. If you’re invited to other Virbela worlds, you’ll need to download and install those separately from OC.

Virbela worlds support extremely immersive, high-fidelity experiences in real time with hundreds of other users at once. They’ve been designed for optimal performance on an average computer.
