Where there are inspired people, there ARE inspired places no matter the modality...
On March 7, 2023 Chris Moeller and Dave Cairns started Inspired People, Inspired Places as we saw an opportunity to fill the void of wooden panel discussions, keynotes, webinars and Zoom in general by using a new modality, a virtual world - Virbela. Our coworking space is community oriented - built by the community for the community.
We hypothesized that by creating the added friction of having to build an avatar and "commute" to our coworking space in Virbela OC (open campus), we might be able to earn more of people's attention.
We hypothesized that by removing the real/perceived tension surrounding the physical office that we might achieve more raw & authentic dialogue.
And we hypothesized that by creating a round table "face against the stage" format we might evoke that feeling of stumbling into a bar and happening upon a "vibe" that makes you feel like you are part of something special.
So far so good!
Every other Tuesday we are going to continue to quietly elevate conversations around 5 key areas of humanity's future:
- Wellbeing
- The Future of Education
- The Importance of Community
- Regenerative Technology
- Future of Work

VRAR Chicago’s event series, The Next Evolution, is over three years old and successfully transitioned to a 100% virtual format at the end of March of 2020. We have been continuing to bring VRAR & Industry leaders to a (virtual) stage for free, cutting edge programming.
Every month we feature a different industry and highlight current and potential implementations of emerging immersive technology solutions within that industry.
